My Grace is Sufficient

This last vintage quote art for the french linen texture series. I been praying of the right verse as the ending or the closing of this Christian motivation series. It is not an easy one. There are just too many wonderful verses and all of them are so prudent in my life.

The first quote art titled “Love never fails” reminded me God never fails. His love never fails. He never fails. And, He’s the anchor of my life. Conclusion, my live should not fail. I am not talking of having a failure free life, but rather a life in a guarded risk by my Heavenly Father. I am sure my Father won’t let me go astray. 😛

The second quote art titled “My strength & my shield” is God telling me, He’s my armor (shield) in danger, and He’s my weapon (strength) to overcome my challenges.

Now, the third quote art, also the closing, titled “My Grace is Sufficient”.

I remembered the days  before I know Christ, I work my way up in cooperate leader. There isn’t other way. I don’t have a wealthy parent who allow me to fall back whenever I am tired or things don’t work out. So, I often walk the extra miles, burn the midnight oil, not sleeping for nights, weekends and push myself to work, work and work. Deep down… I am very tired and end up with serious insomnia, relying on sleeping pills to sleep for almost 2 years. I am desperate yet I can’t find a way out.

Then, I know about Jesus through a private event. It was then, I ask Jesus, why should I believe in you? The next things I know, a pastor walk up the stage and say “Child, you have nothing to lose anymore”. It was then, I began my journey being called a Christian, learning about Him in church and small group bible study. It has been almost 10 years now. My life is not a bed of roses, but I learn that I can rely on Him. His grace is sufficient for me.

My grace is sufficient 2 Cor 12:9

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

2 Cor 12:9

I am weak, but He is strong. My life becoming a testimony of His glory. I quit from my jobs years ago trusting my Provider will provide. My Provider not only provide, but always provide more than enough. He took me through all the thick and thin in life. I wouldn’t ask for more. 🙂

So, I like to dedicate this quote art to those who need this reminder…

You don’t have to worry about the challenges you are facing, because God won’t allow anything more than what you can bear. You don’t have to take everything in your hands and fight all the battle alone.
It is ok to be weak, so God can be strong in us. Let God be God and do wonders that only God can do.

My Strength & my shield

Psalm 28.7 My Strength & My Shield

I am designing a series of Christian motivational vintage quote art and this is the 2nd under the french linen texture series. The 1st artwork “Love never fails” can be found here.

As I journey being a young mother in the season of caving, I often need a lot of support and encouragement to press on from one day to another. I can’t be calling my mother, or looking for my close girl friends to share them “a river of stories” everyday, but I can certainly talk my ever present God, my heavenly Father, whenever, whatever I am doing. I am not crazy but this is called,  “having a relationship with God”, like a daughter talking to her Father about her day in and day out, crying her heart out, wishing for star , seeking for comfort and advise. So, often my Father will reply me with wonderful verses to keep me in the right path, encourage and strengthen me.

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.

Psalm 28:7 is definitely one of my very favorite where I meditate as and when different challenges arise in my life. It is very comforting to know that GOD (all mighty God) cares about me, protects me and helping me through the challenges. All the challenges do not go away immediately, but certainly less in weight and easier as my heart is lighten.

So, I like to create and place these quote in my house to serve as my daily reminder. I am planning a new display area for this series as I refresh the deco for summer. Stay tune. 🙂

5 Love language

Love Never Fails

Love never fails

1 Cor 13:8

I am a doer. I believe if love and marriage is an assignment, I will make it work. It is not an option, but a decision. I am not in my mother’s generation where she only get to meet their groom for the first time on their wedding days. I choose my own husband. It is my own decision, in good time or bad, in sickness or good health. I couldn’t accept the idea of keeping the “quit” in my head all the time, and waiting to throw the towel whenever the hardship came. I believe love never fails because God never fails.

Have you heard about the 5 love language? If not, please check out “Your love language” test. Just a few simple questions and answering, you will know what you truly need, emotionally, physically and mentally. The answer will help to make your “love” works.

Mine is “Act of service” & “Quality Time”

This first one makes a lot os sense…being a mother, a wife, a graphic designer, an artist and a daughter, I have a lot to do. I seriously, definitely, absolutely, without doubt need help in any possible ways, duration and variety just to give me a breather, a me time, and most importantly… a time to rest.

“Quality time” is what I least aspected. I always thought I am the “Word of affirmation” type of person. But, JP knows me better. He guess both of my love language correctly. I married the right guy… yeah! 😛

After some reflection, the test is accurate. Having a lil girl with us, we don’t have lotsa opportunity going for movie, dating and doing all the romantic things anymore. It is more like…time doing things together. Going to market in the morning, walking together in the park, going for a swim(water play with lil girl), building a play kitchen for Issy, painting the wall, baking some cupcake, traveling to places where we chat and chat on any random stuff. Communication is the key for my relationship. It help us to resolve issues, sharing each other burden, and setting goals, for ourselves and the family. Quality communication and time together brings us closer to each other.

So, what is yours? Do try out the test and find out for both you and your partner, as well as your child (if you have any). It will definitely make your life easier. 😉

Note about the quote art:
I created this quote art “Love Never Fails” with the idea of God as the anchor of love. If we lives our life using the concept of “LOVE” from the world (from what the media told us, the movie, film, story and the people around us), we often fail to live up to it and feeling hurt all the time because non of these love is perfect. So, if we set God’s love as our anchor and definition of love, His love will makes perfect in us, because His love is perfect and sufficient for us.

I am in love with the vintage treatment. So, I have the french linen texture as the base and create the quote art with the compass of cross, which represented Jesus Christ as the anchor.

I will be creating another 2 quote art using the same treatment to complete the set of 3 in every collection. Stay tune for more soon.
